“The Dom-Protection for your laptop” raises funds for a family in need.
During 2007 Sublime Accessories is promoting The Dom- Protection for your laptop (laptop sleeves) to help raise funds for the Melanie Harris Memorial Trust.
This is a new product to the Australian market and is handmade by Sublime Accessories. The Dom is a laptop sleeve in bright and funky colours and designs.
One particular style is featuring a special fabric chosen by Sublime Accessories to represent the spirit of Melanie Harris and create The Happiness Dom.
Sublime Accessories will be donating $5 from the sale of each Happiness Dom to the Melanie Harris Memorial Trust.
Melanie died from SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome) on the 19th March 2006 at age 29, leaving five children from ten to eighteen months and a Husband that has now given up work to care for his children full time.
In an effort to help Melanie’s Husband Daniel to raise and educate their five children, the Melanie Harris Memorial Trust was formed with the aim of raising $300,000.
Once the target $300,000 has been reached the Trust will continue to raise funds to assist other families who have been affected by this Syndrome.
Initiatives such as The Dom make a vital contribution towards allowing the Trust to continue its work.
Scrapbook Emporium have a unit on display in their store on Port Road in Adelaide, South Australia.
People can enter by purchasing from a selection of patterned papers which entitles them to an entry in the raffle.
All proceeds will be donated to the 'Melanie Harris Memorial Trust' and the winning entry will be drawn on the 25th November.
